What Else We Do
The Greater Champaign County AMBUCS is a very busy club, with events almost every month. Each member can participate in one or all of these events depending on how much they wish to be involved.
At the first of the year we have: Barstool Golf and the Cash Bash
two of our major fundraisers.
As soon as the weather gets warm and dry we start our: Ramp Building Project which runs through the summer and fall.
Warm weather also ramps up our: Amtryke giveaways as children love to get outside and ride.
When May rolls around: the Tom Jones Challenger League starts playing their games in AMBUCS Park.

The Spring also brings one of our newest events: Amtryke Road Rally which is a fun day for children with trikes and their parents.
Fall brings our next fundraiser: the Golf Outing Fundraiser hosted at Lake of the Woods Golf Coure, Mahomet, IL.
The Scarecrow Festival is also hosted in the Fall at AMBUCS Park, East Urbana, IL.
For years around Christmas time we: decorated AMBUCS Park for the holidays. A new leader could resurrect that tradition.
Just for fun, four times per year we have a: Chapter Social where members can bring their families to meet the rest of us.
For the Spring and Fall semesters, we give: Scholarships to Therapy Students at Parkland College.
Throughout the year, we give our support to other organizations:
Urbana Park District
Developmental Services Center
Disabled Students Organization
Muscular Dystrophy Association
and we support our fellow AMBUCS Chapters by attending their fundraisers and events and helping when we can.
AMBUCS Chapters are organized into regions and are also part of a National Organization. Once per year we have a regional conference and a national conference. At these events, we share ideas and learn about new and different ways of doing things.
